Dr. Megan Keller attended North Dakota State University/NDSU in Fargo, North Dakota to earn a Bachelor in Animal Sciences. During these four years, Dr. Keller spent her free time as a veterinary assistant at a small animal practice that doubled as an Animal Control shelter. She soon realized her passion for all companion animals, from owned pets and to homeless ones. She made it her goal to use her skills and knowledge to help homeless and unwanted animals regain health and find their fur-ever homes.

Following her graduation at NDSU, Dr. Keller moved south to Kanas for 4 years to earn her doctorate from the Kanas State University College of Veterinary Medicine. After obtaining her doctorate, she took a year off to volunteer with veterinary medicine and translocation of wildlife in South Africa; while there she worked with a variety of animals: rhinos, elephants, wild dogs, wildebeest, impala, zebra.

On her return to the US, she moved to Panhandle of Florida to begin practicing, and began her career as a shelter veterinarian, working alongside animal control officers that tirelessly help bring in homeless animals from the streets to be properly cared for and then found new homes. She enjoys surgery, pathology, and internal medicine. She currently owns two Siamese cats and two mixed breed dogs, all of whom have passed through the shelter system. Her hobbies include hiking trails with the dogs, traveling, dog training, reading, and paddle boarding...with her cat, Catsanova!
