Apparently, Brits hate "missing cat" flyers more than this reporter despises Simon Cowell. The Bedfordshire Borough Council asked, er, demanded that the 44-year-old Mr. Harding take down his 20-some "missing cat" flyers, or face a fine of £1,000.
The poor guy had put the flyers up last November as a last resort in locating Wookie, his seven-year-old cat, who had then been missing for six weeks. The local authorities claimed the posters could cause environmental damage and demanded their immediate removal. Mr. Harding drove all over Bedford after returning from work on December 23 in order to meet the council’s 48-hour deadline.
What would you do if faced with the same scenario?
