UPDATE 3/30: New lot numbers added and contact info for product refund/replacement
Natura Pet has expanded a voluntary recall on limited lots of Evo Dog, Cat, and Ferret food due to potential Salmonella contamination.
Natura Pet began recalling certain lots after it was alerted to a single case of Salmonella in a 2.2lb package of EVO Turkey & Chicken Cat Food that was part of the same production window as all of the affected lots of Evo Dog, Cat, and Ferret food. The recall was then expanded on March 29 to include the following EVO pet food and treat lots, including newly added dog and cat treats. Check your packaging for the related UPC number to see if your lot has been affected.
Salmonella can affect both animals eating the product and humans handling the pet product.
If you or your pet had contact with the recalled product, you are advised to watch for symptoms that may develop. Common symptoms associated with Salmonella poisoning include diarrhea, bloody diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, or abdominal pain. If you, your pet, or a family member are experiencing these symptoms, you are urged to contact a medical professional.
At the time of this release there have been no reported illnesses associated with this recall.
