What is "Meet the Breeds," you ask? It’s simple…
In conjunction with the Cat Fanciers' Association, the American Kennel Club is showcasing 160 breeds of dogs, 41 breeds of cats, and 1 place to meet them all. It's the "event of the century for all dog and cat lovers."
And we agree 100 percent.
PetMD will be there, bringing those of you unfortunate enough not to be able to attend the event all the news and gossip. So keep an eye out for all things "Meet the Breeds."
But the nearly 200 dog and cat breeds are not the only thing that's going to draw in thousands of spectators this year. "Meet the Breeds" is the world’s largest showcase of all things feline and canine.
It will have experts in all pet fields, people selling tons of cat and dog merchandise, demonstrations in law enforcement dogs, obedience and agility, and best of all? Cat Idol! This has us purring with excitement and anticipation.
There will also be artwork on display and the unique chance to turn your child into a cat or a dog via the help of a master face painter!
To join us in the festivities come to the Javits Convention Center in New York City, October 17 and 18. You can purchase advance tickets online, and they’re a real steal at $10 for adults and a paltry $6 for kids (under 12). Head on over to www.meetthebreeds.com for your tickets to pet paradise.
If you’re in the area, we say mosey on down. If not, stay tuned…
