I am assuming the constipation is not due to any underlying problem.
I would recommend to increase the water content of the diet by giving either wet food or soak the dry food in water. Liquid paraffin can be given as well. The dosage depends on the weight but 2.5-5mls every 12 hours every 10-15 kg of body weight up to a maximum of 15mls can be given quite safely (2.5mls = 1 teaspoon).
If the constipation persists I would recommend to have him checked by your veterinarian or discuss the problem further in a private chat/consultation.
