A. I would not recommend cleansing any wounds with hydrogen peroxide. Peroxide will cause the cells to die off and become necrotic. Instead what is recommended is chlorhexidine solution. There is a product at Petsmart that sells chlorhexidine spray.
However, I caution that if this area is infected there is a good chance you need to get antibiotics for a veterinarian and have it properly looked at to see if there is anything else it needs.
