A. Sorry the wrong answer was posted to this question a moment ago. In answer to your question it could be either of these causing the diarrhoea. It could also be parasites or just an upset tummy from the puppy scavenging.
A. There are so many reasons why this good be happening. If it is an unneutered female it could be a season, if it is in urine it could be cystitis, it could be from anal glands or it could be from bleeding in the lower intestinal tract. If your dog has been given pain meds for its leg you certainly should speak to your vet again before giving any more as some like meloxicam can cause bleeding from the guts. It really needs another check up to establish where the blood is coming from.
