A. Tumours on the spleen are very serious and is a risky surgery even more so given the age of your dog. Even if your dog did make it through surgery many die on recovery or very soon after. It is a lot to put your beloved pet through. You need to be guided by your vet as they have seen your dog and know the extent of the tumour and if it is bleeding out. It is a very difficult decision but you need to do what is best for your dog and not yourselves.
