A. Dogs can certainly get reinfected with parasites. That's why it's a good idea to use a monthly preventative for both heartworms and intestinal parasites. If he's not eating and has lost a lot of weight, he either has another parasite infestation, or there's another problem that's causing the lack of appetite and the weight loss.
