A. It sounds as though your cat has some intense mouth pain. It is possible that he has a bad tooth, a foreign object stuck in his mouth, or a case of stomatitis. Stomatitis is an inflammation of the tissue in the mouth. The mouth will often be very red , may have an odor and is very painful. You can open his mouth if he will allow it and look towards the back for some signs of the disease. I would suggest you have him examined by your vet to determine the problem. In the meantime, you can feed him wet food as it is easier to eat and does not require as much chewing.
