Q. My Shi Zoo is 4 years old and I adopted him from my local shelter, 3 years ago , he gets hot ears every day, I have had him to five vets,

A. Is he scratching his ears or are they just hot? is it red inside?

Ideally an ear smear should be perform to make sure it's not an ear infection causing this. If an infection has been ruled out, the main suspicion will remain allergies.

There might be something in his food that he is allergic to. Try a good quality grain free dry food (e.g. Orijen, Accana, Evolve), transition to the new food gradually over a period of 10 days (every day put a little more from the new food and a little less from the old food). Keep him o the food for 2 months to decide if it helps or not.
