Q. Our dog has the same symptoms every 6-8mo lasting 3-4mo. Dry, flaky, itchy skin around eyes.Had urine, blood, biopsy, fecal, skin scrape. No avail. Help!

A. There might be something in this food that she is allergic to. try a good quality grain free dry food (e.g. Orijen, Accana, Evolve), transition to the new food gradually over a period of 10 days (every day put a little more from the new food and a little less from the old food). keep her o the food for 2 months to decide if it helps or not

If it doesn't help, put her on a prescription hypoallergenic food for 2 months.

Hopefully you will see some results after all this, if not you and your vet should consider putting her on a long term allergy treatment (Atopica or Apoquel)..
