Q. What replaces outside grass to sooth my 9yr.old chihuahua's stomach. We have acorns & red maple leaves in our yard? Her bowels are red & watery.

A. Grass will not help suit her stomach. she either has a food intolerance issue or She might have eaten something spoiled that is causing this. withhold food for 12 hours then offer her boiled boneless chicken and rice every 6 hours in small portions. if she is eating and not vomiting, continue with this diet for 2 days.

After 2 days, you can put her back gradually on her normal food or try changing to a better quality food- preferably grain free..

If she continues having bloody watery bowels, take her to the vet even earlier to get treatment.
