A. Annual vaccines consist of the following:
1) DA2PP vaccine - distemper parvo, given once a year initially, then can be given every 3 years
2) Leptospirosis vaccine- recommended for pets that are exposed to outside, can cause allergic reaction in small breed dogs. Sometimes this is given as a combo vaccine along with DA2PP and is labelled DALPP. Given once a year
3) Bordetella- recommended for dogs who ever come in contact with other pets. Given 1-2 times a year depending on exposure (kennels, boarding, dog parks)
4) Rabies- required in almost every state, exception= Hawaii or any other rabies free states
