Q. Hi. My german shepherd, 4 yrs old, has swollen lymphnodes. His biopsy tests came back unusal. 2 biopsy samples, normal; 2 (on same day) show B-cell

A. It is unfortunate that your relatively young pet has B-cell lymphoma. B-cell lyphoma carries a guarded to fair prognosis depending on what stage your pet is in. I would recommend a consultation with an oncologist for further chemotherapy and therapy treatment for lymphoma. I would also recommend having your general vet perform chest x-rays to look for potential metastasis (spread) to the lungs. If your pet is seen to be in early stages and not too sick, then radiation therapy is the only promising treatment available right now for B-cell lymphoma.
Here is a list of oncologists registered online, you may be able to find one in your area that you like and ask for a referral from your vet.
