A. Lots and lots of mental and physical stimulation during the day should help. Get him out for long walks, even for a jog, play fetch, give him playtime with other dogs, teach him obedience, get him involved in agility or flyball, even consider getting him a puzzle feeder bowl or treat ball to keep him occupied during quiet time. A Kong toy stuffed with peanut butter is another great way to keep dogs quiet and occupied when you need them to be quiet. A tired dog is a happy dog. Dogs that are adequately busy and stimulated have fewer problems with anxiety and destructive behaviors.
