A. Bob tail and other short tailed cats can be prone to problems going to the bathroom, and may get feces or other material stuck on their fur. If the feces is dried, a pet wipe or warmed wet washcloth can help to loosen up the material without being too uncomfortable for your cat.
If your cat is fractious or unable to be handled well, you can use a towel to wrap her up in (we call it a kitty burrito in the vet world), or can purchase a restraint such as a cat-bag that allows you to free certain limbs or parts while keeping your cat restrained.
A bath may also help to loosen up stuck on materials. If she will let you place her in a harness with a leash, you may be able to restrain her in a bath better while cleaning her, and preventing herself or you from being bitten or scratched.
If the feces does continue to be stuck or she has loose stool frequently, it is always a good idea to schedule a wellness visit with your vet to rule out any health issues causing the problem.
