Q. My dog is sick. She has thrown up more than 6 times in the past 3 days. This has happened before. What is wrong with her?

A. Without examination it is impossible to say. It could be that she has eaten something that hasn't agreed with her or she has a gastritis from a bacterial infection, kidney disease, blockage, pancreatitis. The list is quite extensive. You should definitly starve her for 12 hours and then gradually reintroduce a bland diet. As its been going on for 3 days it is probably worth having her checked over by a vet especially if she is lethargic, painful or not passing faeces. The vet would be able to perform some blood tests and possibly an xray or ultrasound
